Really great albums, thanks for posting this , I haven’t heard them in a long time, I bought chapter 3 many years ago and it’s still in my collection somewhere in the loft, pretty sure Robbie Shakespeare was on bass
Yes Sly & Robbie I think

How many parts, rum to reggae, is the ideal mix? 🤔🥃

Thanks for that Tony, solid gold vid.
I've never been down the Flabba rabbit hole. A new seam to mine. Cheers for the signpost 👊

Nice. Good to see one without fret markers on the front too. Less is more 😍

Holy moly, if this is close to the quality of my Maruszczyk, this is a real bargain. Glwts

A bit undecided about moving this lovely bass on, but need to make space for something incoming. It started life as a regular Squier Vintage Modified Short Scale Jaguar bass & has had a few upgrades: -
- EMG Geezer Butler PJ set in coral & new Hosco knobs to fit the pots
- Hipshot Licenced Ultralite machine heads
- Red tort scratchplate
- Generic high mass bridge
- Fingerboard edges rolled & neck taken to a smooth matte finish
I was going for a '60s Jazzmaster look & I think it turned out great! Weighs in at 7lb using luggage scales & plays really nicely. Cash / collection from Newcastle preferred, but postage should be fine with this one...
Nice colour scheme

Does this have a case? I'm looking for a short scale that I can get in the back of the car with the rest of my kit

Brilliant bass for the money.

Surprised to see this here still. Great basses for the money, and a good workaround for players who struggle with a heavy bass

These are great basses, only let down by the thin finish

This is one of my favourite dub tracks. It's astonishing. Very melodic bassline running over several bars. The cross-stick ridiculously high in the mix but totally perfect too.
