Yep I have been there, went back to 4's and came back to 5's with a diffrent approach. I now play 5's them like a 4 string most of the time, using the lower B as a rest and then using it when I need it. It works for me

i did have an SGC Nanyo 5er and it was a lovely bass - one with 2 J pickups. GLWTS -
Nice, especially the honey burst. Sadly I've given up on 5 strings too much thinking for my tiny brain
-
possibly a silly question but is it a jazz width neck and string spacing?
-
How does the Haussel pick up sound compared to other P Bass pickups basschatters?
-
Hey what's the string spacing on this at the bridge?

Out of interest how does the 'Lollar Original P-Bass Single Coil' pickup sound?

another lovely bass from 'thebrig' - how many pretty ones have you got?!

True! Looks good with the plain white one too tbh, although not to my taste!

I do like the black one - good contrast! -

Yeah, i cant stand white, and on a bass like this i felt a darker colour brought the colour out more. This was the same bass with a pearl PG on. quite a different look.

Anyway, good luck with the sale. these basses seem to get snapped up very quickly. Id have it if it wasn't for the ding in it.

Well spotted -
nice very nice
-
what's the weight of this please~?
-
I think this is one of the older versions - without the switchable mid. very well built these are, and a joy to play
-
are the pickups different sizes?
-
Any ideas how old this is, and what pickup set it has?

It's a nice middle ground. I've played Jazz basses with similar necks and P basses with similar also. I wouldn't say it's as narrow as a Jazz and I wouldn't say it's a thick as a bog standard P. I'd say it's a pretty comfortable half way between.

Think the neck on my Skyline Decade is the same. Very slightly more substantial than a jazz neck. Same nut width. -

Just wondering if you might want to edit the title... when I saw it on the Basses For Sale page I read it as "pants P-bass"
I had a pants P-bass once. Put me off playing for years -
Interesting Westone here. What model is this?
