Haha, ive owned 2 of their cabs so i know what works for me and what wont. Never found them to be lacking volume as such, just tone. Never felt they lived up to the blurb but you live and learn.  In the past i was looking for a one cab solution, so the criteria was a bit more demanding. Now im just thinking something small and light for rehearsals, and club gigs. It wont be replacing my 1x15, ever, but ive realised im getting lazy and not taking that to rehearsals (due to the amount of stairs id need to carry it up and down), but im not too keen on using 4x12's for rehearsals as i know ill never get that tone form my own gear. Im looking for a lightweight cab that can cover both if im feeling lazy, but not too fussed about it filling  St Paul's Cathedral (even though i know it can lol).

Thats good to know. Might take a punt on the plain black one, as its cheaper than the Rainbow version.

The one cab solution is the BF Compact. Light, powerful and tonally delightful.

  2. Saw Chic and Nile tonight. Very enjoyable, they know how to put on a show. Bass player wasn't bad either lol. Actually, he was top notch.

I was air bass-ing it tonight, sadly enough.

I slap so much better without a bass.

One of the owners of Barefaced approached me at a new years eve gig a few years ago, bitched about my existing gear and gave me his business card. Worst marketing ever.

I know this has nothing to do with the cabs, but i've said it now.

    As you were.

Curious indeed. I thought there was only one owner, unless things have changed in the past few years.

    Very odd marketing indeed.

OK, having considered a no-guard look, I've decided to go completely the other way for a fully-dressed look. White guard, tug bar and 50s pickup cover. Thanks for the comments and opinions.

    Thhp! :P

Agreed. If I'm going to fit a guard it will have screws.

Wondering about mint... It's just that I don't have a mint guard...

Ooh yes mint might work nicely. Photoshop one of your pictures to get an idea of how it might work.

    Thanks

    Any other colours?

The JHS website will answer that one...

John Hornby Skewes are the importer/trade retailer that deals with Vintage guitars, amongst others.

  7. Looks awesome. I'm loving the new colour schemes, especially with matching headstocks. I've always liked the V4, and have had two already. One of those Firenza Red's is on my radar....

When the singer says "mate, can you do something about your tone?", you simply hit the "vocal enhance" switch (DFA1) and say "How's that?". S/he will love it. On the other hand when a guitarist say's you're too loud and s/he can't hear the nuances of their '57PUPs, you hit the "guitar enhance" switch (DFA2). S/he will also love it. I have a few such circuits in stock if anyone would like to buy one, they're lightweight and require no expertise to install, but don't come cheap.

Ooh I could do with one of each of those please. Do you also have any SFA switches in stock?
