1. Thanks for all the replies. They are all helpfull.
Please forgive the awful spelling in that post, my phone threw a fit and refused to let me proof-read before posting :embarrassed:
I am not native so no problem for me at all. I probably made many mistakes too
The B1000 and 2000 heads are very clean, clear and 'muscular' sounding. I guess the Eden sits somewhere between the two tonally. I haven't tried a WT head to head with a B series Carvin but might be able to have a blast next week.
I am looking forward to hear your opininon about WT. What you mean by "muscular"? Thick, warm, deep etc? Can you get vintage tones from B series? How do you compare the BX to B series soundwise?
It's natural sound is a deep, thick, valvey tone that's naturally scooped, but if like me you prefer something clearer with prominent mids which that sounds deep and authoritive then it can do that too.
There are very happy Streamliner owners and they describe the sound deep, valvey, vintage etc. like you but I also read some comments here and there which stated that it can sound muddy. Do you agree with that?
 2. Thanks Mykesbass. I read many good things about Carvin BX and B series and I am more interested in B series (especially B1000). I just don't get on well with Graphic EQ. Have you had any chance to try Carvin B series heads?
 3. Hello all, What I know about GB Streamliner, Carvin B series, and Eden WT550 amp heads is that all of them are good quality products and warm sounding heads. This is not a "vs" topic and I am not asking neither for the winner nor for the loser. I just would like to ask opinions of those who owned either two or all of these amps. Their pros, cons, sound, reliability, things you like or you don't like etc. Thanks, GC
 4.
Actually this thread is making me doubt selling it. I have a rehearsal tomorrow - I might take the Urge instead and see what happens.
Don't sell If you doubt. My experiences thought me that I should be 100% sure that I will not miss that bass.
 5.
I have one and I love it. Very versatile bass indeed.
I saw yours on sale. GLWTS. Can you get real P bass sound?
 6. I installed JC 4 HE/M2 in an Ibanez SR I used to have. Great bottom end. Probably the best lows among all Delano jazz PUs. You should check them out.
 7. +1 for Tort. Black pearl would be another option for me though.
 8.
They haven't hit the collectors' market yet and, to be honest, I'm not sure they ever will. Whilst collectors like anything with a rarity value they also look for stuff that stays pretty true to the original design ethic of an instrument (there are always exceptions to this of course!) and the Urge basses are quite a long way from a simple Fender J or P. In the main they seem to sell for less than their equivalent standard models from the same year. Personally I really like them but I certainly wouldn't look at getting one with a view to a future investment sale
Thanks for the reply Molan. Very well explained. So can we say that Rarity vs Original Design here?
 9.
Ah, that's right I think. I payed a 32" years ago it seemed very fast - if you see what I mean. What colour?
Yeah I see. I read many good comments about their neck. Were you happy with the sound? The color is very dark bright blue. Fender names it as bright sapphire metallic or something like that I think.
 10.
Is it the 32" scale or 34" scale.
I beleive it is one of the 34" scale ones. I think the Urge 1 models are 32" scale but I may be wrong.
 11. Hello BCers, I have a chance to trade one of my basses which I don't play with 2005 Fender Urge II Bass (Stu Hamm Signature). I am just wondering if they are collectable pieces and if they will be in vintage/valuable category in 15-20 years. I know that it is not possible to see the future but I am just curious to know what Fender experts think Thanks, GC
 12.
Not as much love as there should be for a bass like this.
Agree with you. They deserve the better I see you put yours on sale here too. Good luck with that.
 13.
Nice bass - I've got number 41 / 42. These are from 2009 so they have the lovely slimmer neck profile. Good Luck With The Sale!
Thanks bagsieblue. They are very nice basses indeed but it hasn't had much use. Thanks again for reminding me the neck as I forgot to mention. It has slim and very fast neck.
 14.
Try posting in the EUB/Double Bass forum - you'll probably have more luck. In fact if you do a search in the EUB/Double Basses For Sale you should see if any have been sold recently and for how much Hope this helps…...
Thanks for the suggestion Andy. I thought about posting in the EUB forum but decided to post here at the end as I also would like to get opinions from electric bass users. I will follow your suggestion and post it there though.
