The pickups are built into the ramp. The ramp can't be removed.

Nice work as always.

Veggie.

Myself and John East will be there, building stock for it already.
-
The bass is active it has a two band EQ with the battery in the control cavity.
-
Yes weekend 12/13.

oo if the stock fretless one happened to be unlined 34" scale 4 string and recurve shaped (headless or otherwise) that might be very tempting indeed...

I am afraid not it is a 5 string Krell.
I do have a stock Recurve 4 I am working on as well.

There are only two Uber fretless one in Germany and the one I have so the chances are not great I am afraid.
I am however building one for stock and the to have at the London show. -

oo actually yeah I did love the clarity of the uber I tried when you came down to Manchester that time...must find a reason to be passing Moffatt...

Sure any time. My own 4 has the prototype MC pickups in it and a DFM pre-amp also 33" scale. -
Filter pre-amps work particularly well with fretless. If you are ever up my way my own two basses are fretless you are welcome to try them out. An Uber Recurve 4 and a Krell 6.

I have always liked tremolo on fretless bass much more than chorus but finding one that works well with bass is not easy most are aimed at guitarists. My particular quest is now over the Gravitas Tremolo. Having only scratched the surface of the many possibilities offered by this pedal I am more than happy with it.

I know there is only a choice of 3 but not the Warped Vinyl which I would quiet like as well.

I have been looking forward to this arriving very high hopes indeed for it.
Still have to work this afternoon so it has to say in the box until later this evening.
-
Have to say Kev not impressed with the interview. Still don't know his favourite colour and who is his favourite One Direction member. Must try harder.

Thanks for the kind words Rob.

This might be of interest if you like the work of Mr Karn.

You don't really need to bring anything if you don't want to. On the website there will be a list of most of the guys going and they list the gear they are bringing you can do the same and if there are duplicates it is easy to sort out so that one person brings the item rather than two. Means we get more gear with as much variation as possible for everyone to have a look at.

20/3/16 is the next Moffat Bass Bash.
-
Very much the point of having the two filters is the ability to use the bass in the way CR mentioned and once you used to this setup I find it hard to go back to the global EQ and treating both pickups in the same way. This also makes the blend one of the most powerful controls on the bass.

Hi
My Standard Series falls well within the budget mentioned and I have a Custom 6 for sale at a reduced price at the moment which would again come into the budget but only just..

Why not replace the Retro with a passive setup. I use volume/tone/4 way rotary pickup selector.
-
Have to agree with the above great on fretless not worth the effort on fretted. The sub sonic element can be a problem fortunately my own preamps have another filter which removes this subsonic element.
-
Cheers Dave I will keep your offer in mind. If you want to try one of the basses you are welcome to drop down any time.

The latest version of the 01 has an octave taken of the top end on the lowpass filters which brings it into line with the DFM. This reduction in range gives greater resolution in the pot rotation which in turn makes it easier to use. It also brings the filters more in line with the range used by Wal.
massive lack of decent midrange active fretless basses with lines

Active fretless bass standard Series £1210.00 so not the £2K mark.
