1. The TM supreme is the higher spec.About £400 at least of upgrades compared to a regular Cali TM.
  2. Totally agree. The countryman is a great UBass on a budget.I had a solid body Kala but for some reason the E string was quieter than the other strings.Lovely instrument but that always bugged me.Could have been a fault. The countryman is a winner for a great price 😃👍🏻

  6. It's a beauty of a bass.I've played it.Like a Sadowsky on steroids :-) The passive mode with able to EQ is genius.Good luck selling Andy & hope you're well mate.D
Time to put up another of my basses for sale. This time it's one most people won't have heard of. It's a Regenerate Axiom (up-market Jazz clone made by a guy that produces them in very small numbers based in Seattle). Here's the link to it (which contains some of the tech specs - others available from the Maker's website): http://basschat.co.uk/topic/58521-regenerate-axiom-lefty/ I tried hard with the photos but they really don't do it justice. It's never been gigged or used in anger in any way and is immaculate. Comes in a very sturdy and high quality heavy canvas gigbag. Very hard to know how to price this. Cost me $1700US (£1100 or so) a couple of years ago, and if I hadn't been in the country already on holiday there would have been around £400 on top of that in transit and taxes. I had it set up recently at the Gallery in Camden, and not knowing the price they reckoned that in the UK it would have been good value at £2000 new. Shall we start at £900?
8. Damn! Just got in and saw this. The guy said he was probably going to sell but only told me that once he bought it :-0 Nobody else bid on it so went for starting price. What can I do :-( Its a pisser because I sold it as I really needed the money and thought well at least someones getting an awesome bass for a bargain & will enjoy it like I've enjoyed her.As we all know,it's always horrible watching a bass go :-/ [quote.name='LeftyJ' timestamp='1322059282' post='1445989'] ...and back up on eBay, now for 1495 GBP ("priced for a quick sale". Yeah, more than twice what he paid!) 9. Hi Andy!! Hope you're well mate! Seriously thinking of buying the Jazz back mate.Only funds is stopping me but if sold a few things..hmmmm.I'd take that Roscoe too.D
Following up the '77 Jazz, next in line is my Roscoe LG3000 lined fretless 4. Made in the 1990's (not exactly sure when but the guy I bought it off in the USA thinks maybe '93 or '94). The bridge is new (but is a direct replacement for the somewhat knackered original - it's in the case if you really want it). I think it was originally fretted, but the conversion has been very professionally done and is excellent - including the epoxy finish. Apart from some slightly crackly pots there's very little needs doing to it, but I'll get TBG to give it a once-over anyway. There's a slight blemish in the finish on the bottom horn, plus a few little usage dinks here & there. Apart from that I'd say it's wearing it's age pretty well. It's in it's original case. Here's some preliminary shots (sorry about the quality - I'll get some better ones up tomorrow). I've had a chat with Alex at The Bass Gallery, and he thinks he would want to put it up in the shop at around £1300. Anybody want to offer me somewhere near £1000? Too much? Make me a (sensible) offer and we'll talk. No trades please guys. Edit: Price drop
24. Hi Andy!! Wow..that looks an awesome bass mate.bet it sounds as good as it looks.D
Recently came back from a holiday in the USA toting this little beastie. Made by Regenerate Guitar Works in the Seattle area (which is actually one guy by the name of Rod Banuch). I'm pretty sure it's the first one to be seen in the UK. Produced in tiny numbers, mostly made to order and normally with about a 4 month waiting list (which looks set to get longer if this is anything to go by!). This was one of two instruments he had in stock when I enquired. Pickups (Big Singles) and preamp are Norstrand items - actually the preamp has a clever little featurette: passive mode is a true bypass circuit complete with its own tone control, so if you want you can use it in passive mode and have it behave more or less exactly the way a passive Fender would (pickup blend rather than separate vols). His website address is HERE He also has his own forum on Leftybassist Here's a few pics - if you want more info click the Regenerate link above - it was still available to view last time I looked. Enjoy:
