  3. I will get the existing driver checked over before making my desicion to replace or not as it is definately sensible to do so...... however checking out the above mentioned companies (Lean and Blue Aran) I have come across the Eminence Sigma pro 18, can enyone tell me if this would be any good as i'm after a warm yet clear low tone.... cheers
  4. cheers for the help guys. I'll check out Lean and Bluearan this week. the main reason for the potential replacement is that the current driver is starting to lose its tone and sound pretty muddy. cheers Gui
  5. Hi All I was thinking of replacing the driver in my Trace 1818 cab, but I don't have much idea what is good aside the obvious (celestion and eminence)..... I checked out their websites and they don't do 18inch speakers unless you are a manufacturer and buy in bulk. anyone have any ideas or advice?? cheers
  6. what about a Trace Elliot 1015h? 2x10 and 1x15 in one cab, can pick those up new for 640...well within budget. worth checking out at least.

  9. There are some good Trace Elliot Cabs for sale on the forum too, i have a 1x18 and a 2x10 for sale, but you should go with what suits your sound. 18's will give great low end especially if you downtune and the 2x10 will really punch those mids and tops through...... check out my profile if you want to as there are some pics on there.
  10. i guess it would depend on what sort of volume/versitility your after. i would think that 300-500w would be more than adequate power wise, but depending on tone etc you cant really go far wrong with trace elliot or ashdown for your budget. i have played through a trace ah500-7 for years and found it more than comfortable for all kinds of size gigs and styles. what cabs have you?

    Hi

    Welcome aboard!
  12. Hi All, I have decided to sell my Trace Elliot bass cabs, due to my new stuff arriving, making them redundant to me. both have served me well over the years and have been well looked after. they are both pre-Gibson, covered with tolex, they both have 1/4 inch jack and XLR connections and as you can see from the pics they are in great condition, sounding brilliant with very little wear and tear. I Have an 1818 (1x18) 300w 8ohm and a 2104 (2x10) 300w (without horn) 4ohm. in accordance with the rules i must list a price, so was thinking around £250 a piece or £450 for both,....however i am open to offers and possible swaps. ##EDIT### 2x10 now dropped to £150 ##END EDIT### ##EDIT### 1X18 no longer for sale....Sorry. ##END EDIT### here are the pics for the 2104:- [attachment=68991:IMAG0153.jpg][attachment=68994:IMAG0154.jpg][attachment=68996:IMAG0155.jpg][attach ment=68999:IMAG0157.jpg][attachment=68998:IMAG0156.jpg] Thanks for reading, please feel free to ask any questions and i'll do my best to get back to you. Cheers Gui.
