Seeing as us musicians generally singing about saving the planet, isnt a lil bit hypocritical that we play so many guitars made from wood. Ok some will be sustainable source, but im guessin the majority are from unsustainable sources (From Far East mostly) does nyone know what the stats are, an morally should we push to change it, if loadsa guitars are bein made from unsustainable trees?

I just got Logic 8 and I am seriously impressed. I only bought it because none of my hardware supports pro tools, and I dont want to shell out for digitech.
But now,I think its turned out for the better. The amount of flexiblity is astounding, and its so damn robust.
We use pro tools in the studio I work in, but I would seriously recommend maybe having both.

What do you think?

I been having same prob over mac, linux and doze and over safari and firefox.

The RGT books are very self explanatory so you could theoretically go through it yourself.
I took RGT when I first started out, and my teacher was always on acoustic guitar. This gave me the opportunity to do bass lines, solid backing whilst he played the chords, so it was a real cool thing for me having only been playing bass for 1 or 2 months.

However if you have 25 years experience i'd say you might as well go solo.

I mean, I'm sure if you phoned them they'd tell you the score.

This was a solid foundation of my bass playing and its a shame my school replaced it with some sh*tty private tutor crap. RGT really do have a solid basis, and excellent structuring imo.
The early grades, foundation and 1 are a bit pointless and tedious, but as you start moving higher, they really gain weight.
At least in my experience.

If your looking for a replacement , If i buy this, Id have a small usb breakout m-audio fast track usb I would no longer need.
Works brilliant as a soundcard and 2 track digital recorder.

What i do i pick an album, and learn it, without ever looking at tab, or watching vids.
It may take ages. But eventually youll get it.
And you'll get better at articulating notes.

Start off with easy songs.
Then progressively get harder.

I started with real simple stuff like easy RATM, and now I play opeth and megadeth on bass and guitar w/o ever looking at the tab.
Only once Im sure ive got as precise as I can do I check how a songs actually played, And correct myself.

I think there are 2 benefits to this as youll train your ear, and have the ability to jam out like a mofo
