1. I bought a Mark Bass Super Booster from Mark. He was a pleasure to deal with, communications were great throughout and he gave even game me a tracking number for the package. Deal with confidence.
2. The gorm board does looks the quickest and easiest. The reasons I built mine the way I did were 1) I have to be able to flightcase it - everything gets chucked in the van including PA, drums, guitars so having anything loose isn't an option 2) I don't want to put velcro on the bottom of the pedals so I've cable tied everything down. This is really secure but calls for vertical rather than horizontal strips across the board (not literally vertical, but you know what I mean, running top to bottom of the pedalboard case). Also it was really quick and easy to saw the strips into sections, the only waiting time was waiting for the glue to dry.
3. Here's mine. I've got four possible uses for a pedalboard case: 1) bass gig 2) guitar gig 3) ambient pads setup (mp3 player, volume pedal, two DIs for stereo) 4) Boss RC50 for looping but I don't want to buy 4 flightcases. I want to be able to mount the appropriate pedals / DIs etc on boards so I can lift them in and out of my case as required. This is the first time I've posted something like this so please go easy on me, if there's a better way of displaying the photos, please tell me how! 1. These strips of wood were going for cheap in the local hardware store http://www.flickr.com/photos/31140579@N02/8465732680/in/set-72157632740755537 2. I cut them down to 50cm and 30cm strips http://www.flickr.com/photos/31140579@N02/8464635127/in/set-72157632740755537/ 3. Made a framework http://www.flickr.com/photos/31140579@N02/8464635713/in/set-72157632740755537/ 4. Glued it all down http://www.flickr.com/photos/31140579@N02/8465734888/in/set-72157632740755537/ 5. Attached the pedals, power and patch cables http://www.flickr.com/photos/31140579@N02/8465735690/in/set-72157632740755537/ 6. Taped up the loose cables. I also added two 'base rails' along the two long edges to give the board a little 'clearance' so that I wouldn't be putting any pressure on any of the cabling running underneath http://www.flickr.com/photos/31140579@N02/8465828174/in/set-72157632740755537/ 7. Fits nicely in a Kinsman KUPB5 case http://www.flickr.com/photos/31140579@N02/8464998099/in/set-72157632740755537/
4. I'm not sure if it's designed for guitar/bass or either, but I've got an Electro-Harmonix LPB-1 (Linear Power Boost). I'm no purist but it seems to do the job really well, has tons of boost without distorting, and is pretty cheap brand new, let alone second-hand.
5. Hi there I would like to buy this. Please PM me with payment details.
6. I'm a big Muse fan, I've seen them lots of times, and that youTube clip of Chris's gear is awesome. I need to take a plunge and start using different signal chains! Any advice? On this thread I've seen the Deep Impact mentioned a couple of times - I was watching a Deep Impact on eBay, it's gone out of my price range now with a day left to run, but I thought I'd mention it if any of you guys with deeper pockets fancy it.
7. Hi, I've been playing about 10 years, have gone through a variety of cheaper basses and now play a Musicman Stingray 5-string, through a Hartke HA2500 and VX410 cab. Mostly I play Soul / Rock but have also done some theatre work and a lot of function gigs.
