1. Once did a gig where on the opening song I went to sing some backing vocals, got an electric shock off the microphone and blacked out... Apparently I was carried out of the venue and woke up in the car park about 1/2 hour later. Have also played with my leg in a cast before, but had a chair so it wasnt so bad
2. Runs out today if anyone wants it...
3. Simply beautiful! ... But outta my league... I can dream tho!
4. I've posted a little up about it but got no real interest, so it's on fleabay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=130460584230 Yes, its cheap, but it really is a nice playing guitar, and I'm only selling it cos the new Ibanez has replaced it and it wont get played anymore. I know it's not the usual standard of kit on here, but its done me proud as a first 5 string, for practice, stage and recording, and im not ashamed of its price at all. (plus I need a new head and want the money towards it) Reserve is £90. Ta.
5. I'm actually desperate for this, and would happily give you the full 450 for it, and collect too, but I don't have the Funds for about 3 weeks. If it's still there on payday it's mine, or if you fancy holding it you can sign it off as sold.
6. We are good, promise! We're gonna come out Stratford way soon, our Elwood is from that way. If you can suggest a venue we'll come to you!
7. Have sent PM, wanting the peavey head mate.
8. Will they split? how much for the head?
9. If this is still here on payday I guess I'll be driving to Leicester...
10. Might well be having this if its still here payday
11. At practice or gigs, it's the rythum sections duty to spot any other members mistakes and then promptly flip them off whilst playing.
12. My lot, Green Onions, a Blues Brotheres tribute band (not a 2 guys and a karaoke machine but an actual band with actual musicians) has a few gigs coming up, and youre all invited! Sat 13th November - Fat Lile, Witney Sat 2th November - Folly Bridge Inn, Oxford New Years Eve - Jericho Tavern, Oxford. Hope to see a few of you there, feel free to say hi...
13. A di box is an option I haven't thought of, I could use my crappy park practice amp - it's worth a shot! Cheers! It's a bit close though, so if anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it And thanks for the welcome!
14. I know this is well cheeky, but if you dont ask.... I'm in a right fix. Ive got 2 gigs in the next 2 weeks, and my Trace head has packed up. Went to Guitar gallery in headington and their amp repairer is away until december. Tried Nobby from music box, and he cant turn it around in time (to be honest, I wasnt all that pleased with the last time they 'fixed' it). I've asked the other members of the band, and my other band too for a loan but noone has one. I could even get away with using my practice amp if it had a DI, but im not that lucky. Does anyone in Oxford or the surrounding area have a head I could borrow? You'd be more than welcome to have my Trace 4x10 cab as a retainer (I have 2, but dont need the volume for either gig so am only taking one), you could even take my second guitar too if you like, free tickets to the gigs if you want them, and my assurance that it wont be pushed (stage noise only, DI'd through PA for power) and my eternal 'I owe you one' if youre ever stuck for a rig... Gigs are this sat (13th) in Witney and the one after (23rd) in Oxford. I'll collect and deliver same day. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it!
15. Cheers for the welcome peeps, always nice on a new forum! I can allready see this place costing me money - there are some seriously nice setups on here, and a flick through the pedalboard thread is making my bank manager rub his hands...
16.
Not really up my street but good luck with the sale.
Gutted - I am desperate for a rack fx box ATM... Nevermind tho, good luck with the sale, and hopefully I'll sell mine in time to take this off you
17. How do all... I have a Stagg BC305 5 string bass for sale, now that I've just got an ibanez 5 string. It's a bit of a cheap bass to start with, and I've gigged it a fair bit, but it's in really good condition (I look after my stuff well), and plays surprisingly well for the cost of them. Got a soft case for it too. http://www.wikizic.org/Stagg-BC300-5-BK/reviews-1.htm I can get a pic of the actual one of required... I'm after a rack effects unit really, a Line6 or similar. I could also be tempted with a sennheiser wireless, a Gator 6U case and some cash, or something else completely unrelated - try me! Ta.
18. Wear them at practice, but not at gigs, on or off stage. Not tried good ones though, only ever had cheap foam ones that are a fiver for 50 pairs Dont wear them on the motorbike either, but that really ought to change...
19. Could I tempt you with one of these? http://www.wikizic.org/Stagg-BC300-5-BK/reviews-1.htm
20. I.ve been floating around the site for a couple of days, and read lots of interesting things by lots of interesting people... so i guess its about time i said hi... Paul, from Oxford, been playing for about 12 years, a strange mix of metal and blues. play a ibanez sr350 5 string through a trace ah200 and two trace 4x10 cabs, but the head has just popped, leading me to a search for a repairer/new one, and finding the site. Looking forward to chatting to you all, learning more about all that is deep, maybe even meeting some on the circuit and general silliness. Ta
