  6. Abba - I loved their early prog and metal stuff, but then it all went t*ts up with 'Waterloo'.......🙄
  7. Anyone who had a heart - Dionne Warwick / Cilla Black
  8. The way you look tonight - Sinatra etc etc....
  9. Obviously wasn't done intentionally - people see our gear as big black boxes with a flat surface to put things on. Would have been really hard to convey your reasons for not wanting her to do this whilst playing I would imagine, and risk ruining the relationship with the venue and booker. Tough call though!
  10. Blackberry way - The Move
  11. Rally round the flag - Ry Cooder
  12. Diamond dogs - David Bowie
  13. Just sold Stuart a Boss pedal. Quick and easy transaction, fast payment and great comms too. Top bloke, deal with confidence people. Cheers Stuart, Pete.
  14. Let's go round again - Average White band.
  15. Made me think - I'm a bit OCD about letting anyone play my bass. Think its stems from a good friend who can kill a set of strings dead after playing it for 10 mins. He has really clammy hands and I just hate playing an instrument he's used. (He uses Elixirs for this reason!) Also don't mind oily marks from my use, but hate to see instruments clarted up (Yorkshire term) that have not been kept even moderately clean. Television highlights this too. (Just to clarify, I'm not a cleaning freak per se, but like to see stuff looked after, especially on stage where it's most important.)
  16. Jones vs Jones - Kool and the Gang
  17. Mr Jones - Counting Crows
  18. Queen of hearts - Dave Edmunds
  19. Diamonds - Rihanna
  20. Club Soul City - Gary US Bonds
  21. Can’t believe I’m doing this one - Ding a Dong - Teach In (Dutch Eurovision winner 1975, sorry!)
  22. A lot of theories on this one, although think Warren Beatty was the favourite. Mick Jaggers sang backing vocals on the track, and was rumoured to be Keef playing guitar on the outro too.
  23. Shake your groove thing - Peaches and Herb
  24. I've depped a few times with a rock n roll band. They used to have a trailer with the PA and leads in it, and when it was unlocked the band made a mad scramble to get the best leads! Made even worse by them only buying cheap sh*t cables anyway, so you can imagine why the working ones were in short supply. Fortunately being a dep I didn't need to involve myself in this, but was just amazed how some bands can't organise the proverbial p*ss up in a brewery.
