1. Went in to PMT Manchester today to check out what bass amps were on display. To my surprise there was no Trace Elliot gear in the shop, despite there being plenty a few weeks ago. Turns out they have had quite a lot of newish stuff coming back with faults, so the whole lot has been returned to source (Peavey I think) So it was pretty much Ashdown or nothing, although they should be getting new Ampeg stuff by weekend! Cheers, Mick.
  2.
If your amp is passing signal it can be fixed. And it might be real simple... capacitors or something similar. Probably, knowing Peavey (that's good).
That's good to know, the guy looking at it is actually a mate of mine and a bit of an electronics guru. Cheers, Mick.
  3. Just got my Peavey TNT150 with 2x8 extension cab. It's currently at the shop waiting to be checked out as it is distorting at anything over about 10% output. I'm making do with my lad's Roland Vdrums monitor. (which actually sounds better than any 30w practice amp I've tried) Depending on the news from the shop, i might do a self build cab!!!!! Cheers, Mick. Thinking about it, the Roland TD10 cost more than any 30w practice amp, so it should sound better!!!
  4. From last night. Mesa Boogie 180 amp head and 2x15 cab. Music Man Big Al 4 string with Stingray pickup. Cheers, Mick.

  8.
Post a shot of it's rear end and I'll tell you. From memory there should be a jack input and a volume control. The range probably didn't last long and I bough mine new around 1993. It's was used with the old TNT50 that had a crossover control and 2 outputs for high & low. The low went back into into the combo cab via the power amp in and the high went into the top cab. I've had a quick look and can't find any images. Unfortunately I don't have a photos of me with my rig from those days, only fond memories.
Sounds just like my rig. Cheers, Mick.

    Hello.

Hi all, just saying hello. I just started playing bass at the end of last year, so I am a relative novice. I have been jamming with some friends and at my local pub jam night. Couple of pics of my Hamer Chaparral and Yamaha BB414. Cheers, Mick.
