1. Hi Guys,

As I'm not experienced with effects, I wondered if those with greater knowledge could help me out.
For certain songs and gigs, I'm keen to emulate the 'valve' sound through either my Fender P (passive) or my Lakland DJ4 (active). At the same time, I need to get myself a DI.
The EBS Microbass II looks like the one on paper, but just wondered if I should split the job up between an effect and a seperate DI, or both in one box?
To give you an idea, the valve sound I'm trying to emulate is the 'Vox' amp sound.
I hope I've explained myself properly and all comments welcome.
Cheers,
FP

I think your bass was actually up for sale at Wunjo Guitars (Denmark street) a couple of years ago - I played it (when it was the single p/up with the thumbrest!).

Can any of the lads confirm this?
Yep, that's right. It also had a lump out of the body and neck!
After I bought it, I took it to John who did all the work.

3.
what do you mean by 'passive'. just that it only works with passive basses? Also, how old is the model and how old is your product? I'm reallly interested in this - I got no funk on my board at the moment!
Hi,
Yes, it is designed to work with Passive Basses only. I believe I'm right in saying that when Ashdown first brought out this pedal ( 2 years ago'ish? and when I bought it), they were only for passive basses. Fairly quickly afterwards, they were able to do a retro-fit so that they worked with active basses as well. As I was using only passive basses at the time, I never worried about sending it back and then I was using it less and less. I'm not sure if Ashdown would still do the active change or not, hence the low sale price.

5. Hi,

Here we have an an Epiphone Jack Casady Signature Bass. It's in immaculate condition as I only bought it earlier this year but I just cannot get on with larger body as I play with the body up higher than most. As it's not for me, it's then been sitting in it's case and not being used which is a shame.
It's a fantastic bass with a real punch. I've checked it over and I cannot find a mark on it.
It comes with an Epiphone Jack Casady hard case which is a strong, well padded case. The case does have a nick on it.

These are about £550 new and the case was an extra £90 so it's a chance to get to £640 package at a reduced price. Serious offers only please and no trades thanks. I'm based near J13 M25.
Cheers,
Jim

6. Hi,

Just measured the internal dimensions of my JC case so here goes;

Lower body width (i.,e widest part of the body) is 42cm
Upper Body width (smallest dimension) is 29cm
There is a smaller dimension on the case for the cut aways which measures 27cm
Body length is 61cm
The covering inside is quite thick and you can add an extra cm to all of the above if you wanted a snug fit.
Full length of the case inside is 120cm and there is a compartment just between the body area and the neck.
if you need a photo, just let me know.
Cheers,
FP
