I've been given a set of elites standard gauge long scale strings, will these fit a Fender Jazz? i have a feeling that they could be too long even if they are cut down, thanks.

The seller of this Stingray describes it as a one off, not being up on ray's what makes it a one off?

I'm sure this has been on ebay before, i don't think it sold.

Iv'e been watching this and wondering whether it would make a project or not, i didn't think there would be much compitition and i was right. Don't know if it was Japanese, i thought it could be a Marlin.

The thing that put me off was that the seller stated that the neck was fairly straight! Oh well, it's gone now, what do think?

Plectrum. The guitarist in the band i'm in (it's his band, he picks the songs, gets the gigs, organises practises etc) insisted i play with a plec because it suited the songs we do.

A bass is a tool to do the job - it shouldn't be a struggle to play a bass with a neck not suited to you for the sake of tone.

So they are in short supply in your neck of the woods also, we had a brilliant k/player turn at an audition after advertizing in the loot, why the hell he turned up i don't know, he was already in a covers band that did weddings and corperate gigs so he was getting the money. and he was also backing a C/W singer that he backed on an album. after half an hour we thought he's perfect. he then emailed us a couple of days later saying he did'nt think he could fit us in he wasted our time really. the only other reply we had to our advert was some women asking if we could play at her sons birthday party

sorry to go off topic. i was a bit annoyed.

I can't recall seeing a fretless 4003 before, I wonder how much this will go for.

I can't help with the neck fit sorry, but i had an Encore pbass back in the seventies, a burst with a tort guard and it played like a dream. a lovely bass, i basically swopped it for a velvet jacket (about £30) when i gave up playing. wish i had it now.
