  1. Yes - only has Quik Connect on the pickup side, normal bare wire on the other end. One for each pickup.
  2. ALL GONE. Free to a good home! Some bits I haven't used from some active EMGs I bought a few years ago. The only thing that's been used is the blend pot, fully working. 2x passive tone pots, 1x blend pot, 2x EMG Quik Connect adapter boards, pot nuts and washers, some Quik Connect adapter cables, 1x battery snap connector, 1x stereo jack (surface mount, not barrel). PM me if any of these would be of any use.
  3. More out of curiosity than anything else, I will probably be swapping the MK1 preamp in my Cort at a later date. A quick internet search doesn't yield many results for opinions on the Noll preamps - although what is there is generally favourable. Specifically thinking of the 4 band option. Anyone have any experience with these?
  4. Yeah, been looking at the Audere, the exchange rate isn't what it used to be unfortunately. The Glock seems to fit the bill though. And the low battery indicator, what a great idea! Think I would rather have that out of sight mounted on the control cavity cover though, I once had an amber G&L Tribute which a previous owner had fitted a blue LED in to fill in a switch hole, hated it.
  5. Good thinking about the switch. I've been wondering what I'd do with the hole. Initial thoughts were the Noll 4 band (5 hole with stacked treble/bass) and a separate passive tone control to go where the switch was
  6. I was only half joking 🙂 but probably will end up replacing it in the future. I prefer sweepable mids, which the MK1 doesn't have. However I'm tempted by a 4 band, with separate low and high mid controls like an Audere or, probably more likely, a Noll
  7. Thanks, I was the opposite - had a bad feeling about it! But so far seems great. Now onto the preamp... It never ends!
  8. So far so good. This is probably psychological but I thought I was missing initial note attack on the G string, since adjusting the pickup height it seems to be balanced. Tone wise these are great, like a meaty J. Allows for good dynamics. Chuffed so far!
  9. I've tried and failed many times over the years, never manage to get them to quite match. Black is my go-to!
  10. Link to the thread in Repairs and Technical.
  11. The holes for the pickups were basically the same, about 1mm smaller but certainly nothing too noticeable. The Bart MK1s it came with had 2 pickup screws, the Nordstrands have 3 so had to pilot another 2 holes. Nothing drastic.
  12. Before (old pic when I first unboxed it), the child is mine too - starting her early!
  13. Fitted and wired up! Won't have chance until later tonight to plug in with headphones and see if the pole spacing is an issue or not.
  14. Fitted and wired in. Spacing is obviously off, will see whether it makes an audible difference.
  15. Pickups have shipped, estimated Saturday or Monday!
  16. Sounds promising. Considering the Delano soapbars if the Big Splits don't work out
  17. Lovely, that colour... phwoar!
  18. Have you received aforementioned bass yet @Woodinblack? Edit - just seen your NBD post from yesterday, lovely looking bass!
