  1. The C4 will be easier to edit and quicker to burn presets to than the FI judging by the just-launches Neuro iOS update.
  2. I’m jealous. Hopefully mine will arrive next weekend.
  3. So looking forward to getting mine. Hopefully it’ll arrive next week.
  4. Rich Tone and Andertons.
  5. Got to be Jaco Pastorius for me. Oddly enough I only recently learned that he used rotosounds even though I’ve been listening to him for over twenty years. It was a revelation to find that rotosounds were part of his otherworldly sound in Portrait of Tracy; that track blew me away when I first heard it at 17 and got me deeper into playing bass and into jazz. My school music teacher was a jazz fan, I had a huge crush on her (she was 27) and she made me a C90 with Jaco’s eponymous album on one side and Kind of Blue on the other. That music is still with me 25 years later.

  7. I’d hold off making direct comparisons to the FI tracking until we can have them side-by-side. The couple of people who drew this comparison were basing it off having owned the FI a while back (before the recent update with improved tracking). I’ll be getting a C4 as soon as it’s available. I’m waiting for my supplier to get back to me with a date.
  8. Lovely. I often regret selling mine last year. Had this been rosewood I may have caved.
  9. Yes. This can be done as you described.
  10. There are a wealth of interesting sounds possible on the monologue and it only has a single AD envelope. (I prefer two separate amp and filter ADSRs but the monologue is surprisingly versatile, though its lack of a square wave on the second oscillator is a bummer.) I think I’d be inclined to try and scrape the extra together for a BSII but it’s horses for courses. I bought a monologue for my son and was choosing from the same set. @Matt P check out the Yamaha reface CS too.
  11. I’m down to one again but I do miss the others.
  12. What’s stopping you? I had four on mine at one point, including this one!
  13. Tagged you in the resource thread where I’ve outlined how to do this. You should also browse some user patches as some are way better than many of the stock ones.
  14. @AinsleyWalker, see the first post.
  15. I may end up having to pull this sale as the Lunar I bought has a fault and I’ll need to return it so may need to hang on to this Gemini until I find another Lunar.
  16. I know of a Zeus for £100. Let me know if you are interested and I can send you the details.
  17. That’s really a very good set of explanations. Having the visual tracking of the envelope is brilliant. The Waldorf Quantum and Moog One have this kind of visual representation on their screens and it’s really useful.
  18. I think that’s a good approach. I love creating patches for this thing. The complexity of the interface does put some people off. I’m hoping that (and have suggested as much) that, after the new update is released, work gets focussed on making the patch transfer part of the editor much more user-friendly. That way, one needn’t feel overwhelmed by the options but will at least be able to audition, transfer and re-order patches effortlessly.
  19. I have a London trip booked in for 2nd-4th August so can meet up centrally to hand over in person.
  20. For anyone who needs convincing how good this sounds, check out these clips: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1u2-dJaWdaAbPDnDdWkipu-P7IH_GHLQ2
  21. This is a fantastic pedal. The only reason I’m selling is that I use the phaser models more than the chorus so have bought the Lunar so I can have the resonance and shape controls as knobs on the top. (This pedal does all those sounds, I just want the direct control from the top panel.) In addition to the chorus models, this pedal allows access to all the sounds of the Lunar phaser and Mercury flanger plus the resonator models from the Orbital. It’s in excellent condition. Comes with box and Neuro cable but no power supply and no USB cable (I might have another one kicking around if it’s a deal-breaker). Price includes 1st class signed-for UK postage.
