1. Thanks for the info. It is a great help to me. Shall get looking into what specs might suit me and then will get down to guitar guitar to try out lots . Thanks again.
 2. Hey folks, I am considering moving to a short or med scale bass. I haven't been able to play one yet but I thought I would ask first what you folks thought. What are your experiences with the shorter scales? What do they offer in ways of tonality and playability? Will appreciate all advice. Cheers, Tom

 11. I agree the bass was sitting back quite a lot. Though I don't understand why as Chris has quite a strong technique.
 12. Anyone have thoughts on the performance of Muse?

 16.
Post or pick up. If someone buys it I either add the P+P and arrange it online or I ask the buyer to arrange it at our mutual convenience. Tom put me on to Parcel2Go - great service.
Magic, Im very keen but would look to maybe test it out. Where bouts in Glasgow are you?
 17.
Absolutely, thats life eh? Though got a little more cash atm, looking for a Fender Jazz or a Warwick Thumb, both of which, I feel, are fantastic basses.
Though always open to recommendations. Any hints on finding a good, reasonably cheap bass?
 18.
Hello, and welcome to the forum. I am sure many of us on here "made do" with what we could afford in our early days - I certainly did.
Absolutely, thats life eh? 19. Hey, I'm Tom and I've been playing bass for 4/5 years now. Though only started seriously 2 years ago. Im 18 years of age and currently studing Bass at University in Edinburgh . My first instrument was a Tenor Saxophone (which I still play) and played that for a good 6 years but decided the Bass was for me a little later. Due to lack of cash being a student, I currently play an RBX374 in Silver. I make do with what I have and try to sound as good as possible. Currently playing a few gigs for the band Callanish as people require deps. But just missed one due to slicing my index finger on my left hand. :S Enjoying the site so far. Cheers.
 20.
Sorry guys, work, the world cup, laziness, doubt and an inability to shoot black gloss has sent me over the edge! (Not your faults!) Here are my best efforts: Best/worst ding. Bridge area. I had many attempts but a combination of an inability to control the flash and reflections of my semi-naked body in reflection meant they are the best two I could get. To wordify the images, the 'arm-rest' area one is through the polish and paint. The 'horn' one is noticeable but only through the polish. I am not trying to hide anything (not that either of you suggested I was) I am just crap at indoor photifying! I hope this helps you guys.
Helps greatly thanks. Very great price for this. Willing to post? Or drop off?
 21. Very Interested. Live in Perthshire. Anymore Pictures? Very Nice bass.
 22.
Hello, Do you think the price tag is too low? Not sure what you mean with your question, are you asking if these are the only defects? Yes they are. The action and sound are how you would expect from a standard Warwick Thumb, its got a bit of everything tone wise and plays lovely. You're welcome to come have a look / strum, I only have a 10w practice amp here tho but you are welcome to birng your own amp of course.
cotla Yes, I would have expected from the standard of a Thumb that the price tag would be higher. If the sound is unaffected then great. Where do you live? I live in Perthshire.
 23. Interested, the defects the only reason for the price tag? Hows the action and sound of the bass overall? any problems?
