1. See specs here: http://www.davehalla....uk/page26.html I bought this pedal back in February or March (these pedals are usually build to order, it is labelled "Feb 2012" and it smelled of fresh paint when I received it ) and it's in perfect condition. It comes with the power supply. Nice clean - low gain - fat overdrive sounds with blue led lighting, what more can you ask for? Only reason to let it go is that I have compromised using smaller pedals instead, even if they don't sound as good, because I can fit them in my pedalboard better. They're priced at £120 new right now. I'd let mine go for £70 delivered. Power supply included. Pictures to follow...
 2. and this is sold to 'wildman', pending the usual. with tears...
 3. here's a few punctuation marks for you: ,,,,,,,,,.......... I almost lost my breath reading the first post! Have a bump on a seriously nice preamp. I have one already and at times the idea of getting another tempts me a lot... so please someone buy this already!

 5.
They're excellent. I've had a four and five string and regret selling both! The necks on the four strings are chunky. The five string is, I think, narrower spacing and felt similar to a five string stingray to me.
I had simultaneously a MM SUB5, which I believe has the same neck dimensions as an SR5, and the Tribute L2500. The L2500 was considerably bigger. It's probably about the same width as the SR5, perhaps a bit more but not much, however it is a lot deeper. The US basses come in two different neck sizes, but the Tribute series are all the same, and pretty chunky.
 6.
Very tempted to get one of these at the moment, but I'm unable to try it first. I've played the 4 string before, and felt the neck was a bit chunky, but I've never played a 5. Just wondered if anyone had an opinion about these, and if anyone can tell me about the neck or compare it to anything else? Thanks.
I had one, great basses... but if you found the L2000 chunky... I doubt you'd like the L2500. It has a pretty hefty profile. I personally liked it, but it is quite substantial.
 7. ah, my old OLP! It was nice... good times...
 8.
Nice
Just played a little with it... it is nice indeed. I should record a videoclip or something before I let it go...
 9. Indeed, quite powerful and surprisingly good sounding. The control cavity is pretty large and clean, and I was considering putting a preamp in there. Then it would be a veritable beast. The bass is temporary on hold for 'alyctes' until the 15th of May.
 10.
I;d love this bass. I had a green one for a while and regret selling it a few years ago. No money im afraid, unless you want a Squier CV thrown in ;-) Shame you have to break up such a nice collection of basses.
actually a Squier CV Jazz might tempt me but I really shouldn't... although it would tempt me. the family portrait above is not current... From the left: 1) SUB5, now for sale... no need for 5 stringers at the moment and I always play 4 strings instead, a bit superfluous to me. 2) black OLP. Still passive but with a SD pickup. Black/maple, one of my favourite combinations. This one has some nylon tapewounds right now and (for now) it's staying, but it may go after all too. 3) blue fretless OLP. Sold it already. 4) another OLP, with SD pickup and 3-band preamp, currently for sale on this forum. 5) MM Stingray, this one is staying and not pictured: white MM SUB, which has become my main bass and everything else just looks at it with jealousy. Even the Stingray above doesn't get much action these days. So the family has already been broken up... I plan to keep only the Stingray and the 4-string SUB... and *perhaps* the black OLP for tape/flatwound stuff.
 11.
I've heard these raved about but never had chance to try one myself, what's the comparison to something like say a Tanglewater CJ 5 for example, which I was a big fan of for a similar price?
Absolutely no idea.
 12.
Great basses type bump! Out of interest, where did you get the pickguard from? I'm not too fussed on the checkerplate one on my SUB 5...... Cheers
From "Pickguard Heaven", in the US. They had the template listed, so it was easy. Just select the material/colour, and it was with me within a couple of weeks.
 13.
incidentally why have you taken the baslines pickup off ?
I liked the original better. The Basslines was a ceramic pickup, and it was nice. I like the MM style pickups they made and used their alnico versions in my OLPs. Great pickups. But I feel the original sounded more like a Stingray, which is what I wanted out of this bass. Whether it is because of the alnico/ceramic or something else, I don't know.
 14. Bathroom scales and not very accurate ones at that, but according to them the bass should be exactly 5 Kg or 11 lbs. Not exactly a feather.
 15. Not the 5-string type... so reluctantly, here is my 5-string MM SUB5 bass. It currently has a black matt pickguard, but the metallic original will be included too. The original pickup is installed, despite these pictures showing a Basslines pickup. It's a 2004 model, active, 2-band Stingray preamp. In good condition, although the back of the neck and top of the headstock has some marks. Nothing horrendous, but it's not immaculate. I'll try to post some pictures to show that. Looking for £425 delivered... unless I come to my senses and keep it Here is a picture of it *without* pickguard (the one on the far left) This is how it looks now, but with the original pickup instead of the Basslines: this with the original pickguard:
 16. So here it is, my immaculate Shine bass, bought impulsively as it was so damn pretty but I really am not into two pickup basses, unless it's a Jazz and it does not get much time. I'm trying to severely cull my collection down to a handful of basses, and this is one of the ones that will have to go. Body is ash, very light. Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Very light bass, on my bathroom scales about 7.8-8 lbs Passive, VVT configuration (like a Jazz) plus pickup switch. In fact, it does sound a lot like a very fat Jazz, a Jazz with impressive biceps. The bass is in excellent condition and plays very well. Looking for £95 plus £15 delivery.
 17. reasonable interest received but nothing definite yet, so here's bumping. I also have a spare white pickguard that I don't need, so if you want it just say so.
 18. so I sell my OLPs and you sell your preEB Stingray???? what's going on in Basschat???? What have they put in the water/beer????? If I could, I so would.
 19.
I don't see the point of this. Why tell someone there's an amp when there isn't? A pretty stupid "test" if you ask me.
indeed!
 20.
Don't like 'em. The website says 'in stock' and it isn't really and won't be for weeks. Time wasters.
if that's your experience, I'd hate that too. It's one of the things that annoy me the most, when a website states "in stock" and then they don't have it. But Thomann uses that "semaphore" indicator and so far it's been accurate. I only order if it is green ("in stock"). The yellow one I think it says that they don't have something but they expect it on x date. I would not rely on that. This is a company that once had trouble to get my money (thanks, paypal! ) and instead of waiting to sort it out, they sent me an email "we can't process your payment but we sent you your items anyway, please pay us within 14 days, thank you". My speaker cab arrived two days later. Sorry to sound like a fan, but all my dealings with them were perfect. Twice I wanted to return something (because I did not like it, not a fault of Thomann) and they were fast and very helpful there too.
 21.
On the counter side, i've ordered loads through them and never had a single issue....
same here, using them regularly since 2007.

The bass track is totally separate. You hear a few missed notes here and there, a glorious bum note on the first chorus... Fun. If you know it already, just mute the bass and play along with the rest of the band in front of some posters of a stage view of a stadium audience...
