From what you've said it could be a loose wire, even so i've only had the bass brand new a couple of days. Sadly not a good start to my reacquaintance with Sandberg 😟

  2. Purchased a hardcore aged Sandberg VT4 from GuitarGuitar over weekend, so had it a couple of days. I was loving it, then tonight as i was playing in active mode the bass sound began to break up, it now appears that the active circuitry is dead ( no sound coming through the amp ). I've changed the battery but it's still the same. When i disingage the active circuitry it's fine, just not getting anything in active mode. Anyone had anything similar or confirm that the active circuitry is dead? I'm in the process of emailing GuitarGuitar, i know things go wrong, but this shouldn't happen to a brand new bass costing the thick end of £2000!! 🙁

  3. After stupidly selling my lefty Sandberg TT4 last year, i'm pleased to be back in the Sandberg club. Just taken delivery of this lefty Sandberg VT4 hardcore aged in marley blue. First impressions are great, can't wait to try it out at my next gig on Saturday 👍

Classic looking P with that black pick guard. If only I was in major bass acquisition mode :(

Cheers Alan, it's a lovely bass but i'm searching for a slightly different sound, & i already have my Precision pro 1 to fall back on. Added to this i've just purchased a Sandberg TM4 aged hardcore, so under my wife's policy of one in one out, this one has to go 😂

I keep coming back to look at this lovely P bass. Black/black with maple is the classic.

Cheers @JohnR it is a lovely bass, but sadly it's just sitting in a case gathering dust. I've got a Precision Pro 1 in Olympic White with a tort pickguard, & rosewood fretboard, which has re-established itself as my number one bass. I don't know what it is, whether it's the rosewood fretboard or the pickups, or i'm generally used to how it sounds but it seems to fit in better with the three piece i play in. I'm on the lookout for something different, perhaps a Jazz in Olympic white to complement my Precision.

  6. Hi,

I'm looking at moving on my left handed Fender American Precision Professional 2 ( 2021 ) purchased from GAK in December 2022.

The bass comes complete with it’s hard case & case candy, & is currently fitted with dunlop strap locks, although the original strap locks will be included.

I have gigged the bass for the last 5 months or so, & condition wise it's still in excellent condition. The only mark i can see on it is a small indentation on the headstock which i've photographed. The original ( mint coloured ) pickguard also has a couple of marks around the truss rod opening. NB just noticed a hairline crack in the original mint pickguard near to the jack input ( photo added ).

The bass is currently fitted with a black pickguard, but the original mint one is also included in the sale.

Only looking to sell in the UK, & collection preferable, but if necessary a courier can be arranged at buyers expense / risk.

I am also willing to meet up within a reasonable distance of the Middlesbrough / Teesside area.

    Thanks for looking.

    Lovely looking bass Graham :)

    Cheers Alan, it certainly is.

I think i've just been used to playing Precision's for too long now. I always seem to use my Fender P at gigs lately, think i've just got used to the P being my bass sound over the years, especially in the three piece in play in at the moment.

To be fair nothing seems to selling at the moment, so i may give it another run out 🤔

  8. Hi,

I've decided to stick with my Aguilar DB599 micro compressor on my pedal board, so i have my Keeley Bassist Compressor & TC Spectracomp up for grabs (see seperate for sale ad)

It's been on my pedal board so there's velcro on the bottom but other than that it’s in excellent condition and comes in it's original packaging with the manual etc.
A fantastic and very transparent compressor, very easy to use with automatic attack/release paramaters and lots of boost available, just surplus to requirements at the moment.

Price includes UK second class tracked postage or collection from the Teesside area and I’ll knock £5 off for the postage.

  10.    Hi,

I was wondering if you could possible unlock a thread for me.

It's the latest one in the lefthanded basses for sale forum i started yesterday titled "L/H Sandberg California 2 TT4 passive with gig bag - £900 - *WITHDRAWN*"

I hadn't realised the threads automatically close now, & i want to put it back up for sale. I populate with some details once it's been opended.

       Sorry for any inconvinience.

    Thanks

  11. Hi,

I have a Barefaced Super Compact cab ( generation 3 ) which has now become surplus to requirements.

I bought this cab in December 2019 off a fellow basschater @Andy Vincent

It's been gigged in the past, but since upgrading to a super twin it's been sitting in a corner of my music room unused.

The cab is the metal grilled front version, & comes with a Hot Covers cover. It is a good condition with a few minor chips as highlighed in the attached photographs.

Full specifications can be seen on the Barefaced website.

For sale in UK only i'm afraid, with collection from the Teesside area preferred.

    Thanks for looking
