    I've tried most octave pedals and my favourites are COG T16 and Malekko Downer. If I had to keep one I would chose Malekko. If those options wouldn't be available for some reason, my next options would be Aguilar Octamizer and DOD Meatbox.

    Same feelings about the tracking. I think there's no way to fix it overall, what I've noticed that the tracking on some presets is better than on others. I had C4 and tracking is way better. However I prefer sound of FI. Some sounds could come quite close though. But you really need to use an app with C4, which for me is a show stopper. Also I've noticed that synthy sounds from C4 are more easily lost in the mix, compared to FI. For now I'm keeping my FI, with the idea that I will use it when I don't have to jump between the string too much, to keep tracking well.

    Did they keep the same spacing between the foot-switches? I find switches on MC6 are a bit too close to each other, sometimes I ended up pressing two at a time and switch bank instead of preset.

    I was positively surprised by Valeton OC-10. It sounds quite close to OC-2 when used on it's own. I didn't like how it mixes with other effects though. Among other octavers I've tried I love COG T16. If you can a used one, go for it. My other favourite is Malekko Downer. Once again, outside your range, but maybe you will find a used one. Out of all the octavers I've tried it has one of the best low ends, other two that are similar are Aguilar Octamizer and DOD Meatbox. However Malekko has number of other features that Aguilar and DOD octavers don't. For instance ability to control any of knobs with an expression pedal. I was able to dial in some crazy sounds by sending LFO through CV input.
