1.
Mark, thanks for taking the time to reply. Two things about your Moon basses that no-one seems to be interested in. 1. They don't show up on the GAK web site unless you specifically type "Moon" into the search box or do a view all in the second hand section they're not in the bass guitar section under second hand, so unless you know to look for them on-line you wouldn't find them just by browsing. 2. I'm sure that they're are really nice instruments, but essentially it's a Jazz bass in a posh frock, and not a particularly well known one at that. Looking for a Japanese-made super jazz? You're more likely to think of Bacchus or Sadowsky Metro before Moon. What it boils down to is that the non-conservative bassist (like myself) is unlikely to come into GAK these days. We're simply not your customers unless it's for a last-minute set of strings or similar. That's not a criticism just a observation of the way things are now.
Thanks for the input BRX. I've now rectified the problem with site and will be adding much more of our secondhand stock in the next couple of days. With regards to not coming in to the shop, I would urge you to pop your head in now and then. For the reasons I've outlined above, a lot of our stock won't be to your taste but I am really trying to increase the variety of our high end basses and interesting new stuff is arriving all of the time. Like I said, pop in when you can and feel free to introduce yourself! M
2. I'm open to offers. I'm really not sure what it's worth. I would say that I want at least £100 for it but a bit more would be nice! M
3. Also, I have realised that I posted that under Wes' login. I really need to check who is signed in next time! Sorry folk! Mark
4. Hi all. Sorry for the confusion. I work with Wes and accidentally posted under his login. The neck is still available. If you are interested, PM me. Like I said, I'm open to trades for a P-Bass neck or for cash offers. Ta M
5. Hi there guys. I'm currently selling a MarkBass STD 106HF. It's an old style one with black drivers. It has been gigged but is in good condition. It's missing it's badge and has recently had new casters fitted. I'm looking for around £750 and would need it to be collected from Brighton. PM me for more details. Ta M
6. Another band to check out if you love nasty snarling P-Bass action is Dillinger Four. IMO the best "modern" punk band. http://www.myspace.com/dillingerfour
7. My favourite player at the moment is Joey Erg from the Ergs! They've just split up but have left us two great albums and lots and lots of 7 inches. Check out them and particularly Joey's playing at http://www.myspace.com/theergs M

9. At the moment, I really don't think you can go far wrong with a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz. They are such good value for money and perfect for a Timmy C sound.
10. The SRs are unbelieveably light. I have both basses you mentioned to hand now and the SR is the lighter of the two. They are also fabulous sounding and play like a dream!
