1.
Damn. My old YYS. I miss this bass so much .. I can confirm without question, she's an absolute beauty
Ah, I do like a bit of instrument history. Thanks :-)
2. It is with a heavy heart that I list this lovely Fodera bass, but I know it will find a good home and be equally enjoyed elsewhere. The entire spec is as per the Production Sheet below. The bass was completed in February 2012. I bought it just under a year ago from Bass Gear for the above sale price and it has been barely used since. Shipping will be extra. It will be boxed and well protected. The only significant point of note is a slight swirling to the painted black area near the P pick-up, which I would suggest is almost unavoidable on these unless it is left unplayed. Cost new would be $5050.00 plus 20% VAT and 3% Import Duty. Listed on Thomann for just under £4k. Feel free to PM me for any further information. Any personal inspection welcome. Sorry, but no trades.
3.
so impressed with what i've heard and seen...have you given The Pretty Things Are Going To Hell a thought?
Thank you very much. We recorded the whole gig, so more will come out as it gets mixed properly. I thought Lazarus was particularly good. The only song that we have ruled out thus far is The Laughing Gnome. So, Pretty Things is a possibility, as is Magic Dance and just about anything else really.
4. Well, it's been a while since this thread was started and the set continues to expand. Last week was the first outing for six new songs, one of which I've uploaded a very rough first mix of to soundcloud here. New addition to the band and playing to a sell out crowd in Saafend.
5. UPDATE - The Just Giving page has just reached £2,500, which in under a week, is fantastic. Thank you to anyone who has donated, but there is still more to do. If you can spare anything at all, please visit the above link.
6. Due to circumstances beyond the bands control, this gig has been cancelled. Apologies to anyone that has been inconvenienced. The venue are refunding those who have already purchased tickets.
7. Dear all, A good friend of ours and fellow bass player has a three year old son (Kyle) who has been diagnosed with Hypertonia. In essence, the signal path from brain to legs is interrupted. He has been accepted at The St.Louis Children's Hospital in the USA for an operation which will hopefully allow him to walk. Without the operation, the possibility of him ever being able to looks bleak. It's a fairly huge operation for the lad and he will be in hospital for a week followed by three weeks intensive physiotherapy. As you can imagine, this will not be a cheap venture; all in around £40-50k, depending on what deals we can arrange for them. All I ask is that you read the story here and if you can, please donate whatever you can to help get Kyle walking. Thank you. Warren.
8.
I always use imgur.com.
I'm converted. Dragging all my stuff off PB right now.
9. Thank you very much one and all. I'm off to add some proper pictures to my thread
10. I still can't get it to work with PB, but that photo I've just posted (of the rear of the amp) I copied the Imgur code straight into the comments box with the lightswitch flicked to code, then flicked it back and the photo appeared, even before I posted it. Doesn't appear to work the other way around though!
11. Holy batcrap!
12. Referee! OK. I'm going to look into the plug-in issue - I may be some time!
13.
Hope you don't mind - I had a bit of a nosey with your link & it does direct to the pic, but for Pbucket it's a big pic - nearly 2MB? Might be something to do with it, though I'm no expert.
No bother at all. Just a snap I took on my iPhone of the amp I have for sale. I presume with that link information you cannot post that pic either?
14.
That's because your new Mac doesn't have Flash installed. There's a little .swf (Flash) element on the page that automatically copies the contents of the link field that you click on, into the clipboard of your computer. IIRC without Flash installed you can't even select the link let alone copy it. I always copy my links from the thumbnail view in the album, which doesn't rely on having Flash but you do have to manually copy the code (either using command-c or from the edit menu). I don't worry about the link giving away my album, because I have a separate Photobucket account just for use with Basschat.
Just trying this. I have all the thumbnails in the album on screen. Which bit do I copy?
