Delberthot
I'm pretty sure the bass player from Ska Face (who are from Blackpool) is a member here but I am having trouble locating him. I'm just back from blackpool and we saw them last weekend at the Venue in Cleveleys. They were absolutely fantastic. One of the best bands I've heard in a long time. Drunk as a skunk (me that is) but loved the show. Are you here Ska man? Cos I want to know what bass you have - it was a bizarre Epiphone looking beautiful sounding ska bass

I got it at Frets in Cleveleys and only started using it on the insistence of Molly my 3 year old daughter who frequently asked "Are you going to play the red one tonight Daddy? I like the red one." So glad you had a great night and don't worry - I bet I was more pissed than you that night in The Venue, it was my birthday weekend and I was on an all dayer with my mate before the show... Did I get away with it? I don't normally indulge to anywhere near that degree, but hey, it was my birthday... Check out our Facebook site (search for ska faces) - there is a cracking 'from the crowd' video from the night in 'my videos' - Lip up Fatty (HQ) - You might be on it! Cheers Hector
tony_m
Finally got round to catching Ska Face on Friday night at Uncle Tom's - can't recommend them highly enough, excellent band. And the Epiphone in question is indeed a fine sounding bass, ably covering a range of tones from The Jam to Bob Marley. Niiiiice...
Bassassin
Hector SkaFace's bass looks to me like an Epiphone ET280 - a not-uncommon mid 70s Matsumoku-built Japcrap. A few of them have been up for grabs here, including this high-profile example: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=57034 Never had one myself but I certainly wouldn't say no.
