G-K Backline Vs. Ampeg SVT-3pro CLIPS!

Well I decided to record quickly some clips of my amps: SVT and Backline (from 112 combo so its even simpler than normal Backline head!).
It took me few minutes, so don't expect any skill showoff there - just simple noodling without any timing or sense.
Two first clips recorded straight from line outs to my laptop with P-bass strung with a year old LaBella DeepTalkin 760FL,
the third clip was recorded on some old (very old) DR Hibeams rounds.

Well... I think that the G-K sounds great! Please, share your thoughts!

From sample one..I prefer the brighter sound from the Ampeg and would want that sound from the very start of the track in the mix, if it were me. It is a difficult sound to control solo though, so depend where you want to use it.

The second sample is close, but again, prefer the Ampeg as it sounds a tad better lower, but has more character and less mid drag higher up...for me.

So that is the P-bass flats dealt with...

Rounds...? again the Ampeg..it sounds more balanced through the strings the way you are playing.

For my style, funnily enough, I think I'd get more out of the GK tones that I would the Ampeg.
So just goes to show how subjective these things all are.
