RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted March 21, 2010 Share Posted March 21, 2010 (edited) Must say,I love this pedal. I only use it for two songs in band situation at present. Not confident of presets etc. Anyway , last night I did a gig (which went down really well ) and I used the Zoom for the first song that we do. Switched Zoom back to 'normal setting' ie 1 press on the foot pedal ,and all was well. In the second set however, the Zoom got 'stuck' and refused to budge from a setting which I never did (think it was b something). So, just before we were gonna do the next song, I had to take lead out and play straight bass for rest of the gig. Of course, I turn on Zoom today, and it's ok Good job I wasn't relying on it too much. I too thought that it may be battery related. I know I used mains,but when I checked next day, there were no batteries in there. I had a daisy chain goin' on tho' . Ac related? As a safeguard I normally program in a neutral sound into one of the patches so that if something goes wrong I just click in the 2 knobs on the front to get to a clean patch - does that make sense ? Paul Cooke Posted March 25, 2010 Share Posted March 25, 2010 just a warning over Zoom multi-function pedals... if you don't use them for a while they forget the patches you've created... this is especially annoying as you can only access the unit via USB to upload and download the patches on the high spec units, not the B2.1U, A2.1U, G2.1U or their little brothers happened to me... hadn't used the B2.1U for a few months and found it had gone back to the stock patches... It's not as though if you leave your phone for a year the numbers will disappear. That sounds like a proper dodgy fault!! Ray: I don't think vibrations will confuse the electronics.
