Hey, I'm putting my Warwick Rockbass Corvette up for sale. I'm going to warn off anybody looking for a simple "plug in and play bass" right now....sadly, the old 'Vette isn't one of those.

So I bought her off here about a year ago, arrived all fine then after a few days I started realising something wasn't right. Thought it was just fret buzz, but over time I've came to the conclusion it's something more.

As you can hear in the video, there's something wrong with the truss rod. The truss itself works, but when playing the A string the truss will harmonize with your playing.

Positives now ;

^^ There's a few soundclips of the bass. In the mp3 titled "Warwick Rockbass Corvette Sounds" you can really hear how many different tones you can produce from this bass. The body is fine, the electronics are fine, the bridge is fine, the neck itself is fine just the truss rod that's faulty.

Aswell as the tone, the bass itself looks beautiful.

The rattle will leave if you detune past a half step or you use very light strings, I'm guessing the tension of standard tuning and/or standard gauge strings causes a problem with the truss.

Please read through this before PM'ing me an offer, I wouldn't want somebody to buy this without fully understanding the troubles you'll encounter with it. I'm guessing somebody who wants a project will buy this bass.

I'll take £130 (including postage and packaging) for it. I THINK that should be enough of a price drop considering any luthier work and/or parts.

Thanks for reading :) . If you get the truss to stop making noise, you'll have a fantastic 5 stringer. Sadly I just can't be bothered with the hassle of this bass anymore.

^^ Here are a few suggestions on how this bass may be fixed. I myself have adjusted the truss rod and it lessens the rattle, but it's still there.

ON HOLD

Bump. I've put this back up for sale. It's sitting gathering dust in the corner and a bass that sounds this nice should be played, hopefully someone can get used to it's strange noises/get it fixed. and use it properly.

Thanks for reading and any suggestions or ideas, just post them. Take care :)
