JPJ Posted January 28, 2010 Share Posted January 28, 2010 I've spotted a nice five string Spector Rex on the 'bay. Anybody owned one of these who'd be prepared to comment on the good/bad/ugly points? Anybody know what the balance is like, are they any better than a Thunderbird when it comes to neck dive? Comments will be appreciated. Comments will be appreciated.[/quote] I have a Spector REX4 and it's gorgeous..... great tight tones, ergonomically pretty comfortable and not so bad on neck dive. Only real improvement I'd make is to increase the power/oomph of the pickups by replacing them with full EMGs rather than the current EMG-Hz's....
