Bay Splayer Posted December 13, 2009 Share Posted December 13, 2009 one for the tech heads...... i am currently playing through a hartke a100 combo have recently acquired a mesa boogie diesel road-ready 2x15 cab i am awaiting delivery of the hartke lh500 head the 2x15 is a 4ohm cab (if you intend to use both 15`s as i do) and will be powered by the lh500 would it be possible to use the combo as a second amp/monitor using the D.I. or effects out from the lh500 into the a100 combo cheers mark Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If it's series, then no, as you'd be breaking the signal from your LH500's preamp. If you have the trusty old Boss TU-2 tuner, I just discovered (after 10 years of owning one) that both outputs work at the same time, with no degradation of signal, so that's one way of splitting your signal. Actually, I just had a look at the manual for the LH500 and it seems that it's a parallel effects send, but it's at +4db, so if you can adjust the input volume on your combo you should be fine to use it that way.
