Picked up one of these a whle ago and was well impressed, this one is cheaper and in better nick so looks like a bargain

Do it Wayne!

At that price it's worth sanding down and staining/painting.

I bought mine as a cheapo backup i can just keep in a soft case and lean against a wall without fear of damaging something expensive. I thought as long as it makes a noise and stays in tune it's earnt it's keep and wasn't expecting anything great.

When it arrived i couldn't put it down, the back pickup on mine is one of the best bridge jazz pickups i've heard

Here's mine btw, a tenner more expensive but in sunburst (which i prefer) with the scratchplate removed as i hate the look of white scratchplates!

The scratchplate removal is a good idea.... I can see a big Mod insignia going there! Thing is, it will be a good bass for this or any other gig and it's so cheap you can handle some drunken reveller falling into it.......
