Tinman Posted November 13, 2009 Share Posted November 13, 2009 I'm sure someone with more knowledge will come along soon but to my mind it depends on how they are wired in that particular cab. For instance: Many years ago, I was wiring a Marshall 4 x 12 for a mate. The cab had 4 x 8 ohm speakers and he wanted an 8 ohm cab, so I wired them in series/parallel. Which gave an overall impedance of 8 ohms. However, if your cab is wired in series then each individual speaker will be 2 ohms. I could be wrong but that sounds unlikely and like I said, I'm sure someone will be along soon who has more experience in this kind of thing.
