Hi
after owning the Stagg Upright for about 18 months, I got it out to play it last night and half of the nut flew off!
Any idea where I can get a replacement nut, and what is involved in removing the remains of the old one and fitting the new one.
I'm lousy at DIY, so should I be looking to get help!

cheers
Dave

Take it to Joe White in Farnborough. He'll make you a new one.

Interesting, the exact same thing happened to a student of mine the other week on the same type of instrument. He took it along to a local shop where they sell & repair stringed instruments, and they made & fitted a new one for him. No idea how much it was, but I don't think it was too bad at all.
