3600w anyone?[/quote]
I think Bugera are a Behringer offshoot. My Behringer cabs also have Bugera badges on them at least. IMO they're probably destined for the cheap and nasty end of the market, but as I've said many times my Behringer rig works fine for me, but don't believe for one second that those figures are accurate. :)

it's probably 1800W RMS 3600 peak, but still, who needs that kind of power? And much less, if anyone is going to be playing large enough venues to warrant such power, they're not going to be looking to buy a behringer are they?

Too true!

I know a few young lads who've got some Bugera stuff, and it works fine WHILST IT WORKS. But they have, out of the 5 units they originally bought, had to get 4 replacements in the past year.

Bugera were fine about it (as they were in warranty) and they do exactly what it says on the tin, but you get what you pay for!

I think the massively increasing power thing is (although mostly competitive numbers) has something to do with the lower and lower tunings, to reproduce those really low notes, you need more power, especially when cabs are massively inefficient that low. Of course there are plenty of other things to fail along the line of making those lows happen, but thats another discussion.
