I've had this unit a little over two months and while I had it connected to my pc at the weekend a message popped upadvising me that there was a firmware update for the wireless transmitter so I installed it.

Now it doesn't work - all I get is a faint red glow when it's plugged in.

I've had a good look online and there is a post somewhere from Line6 advising that this may happen in error and that their server thinks that I had a Relay G10. The way to uninstall it is to go to the Line6 Updater app and the uninstall it back to the previous version. I've tried that but it doesn't see the transmitter, only the pod itself.

I tried contacting Andertons earlier today to find out if it would be as simple as swapping transmitters over. Their response was to either use a cable instead of the wireless or contact Line6 directly. Before I go back to them with a strongly worded email given that the unit is only 2 months old, has anyone else been in this position and managed to resolve it?

I've tried factory reset, installing older updates for the pod go itself then reinstalling the current version but nothing is working.

IIRC you need to uninstall all the Line6 programs on your computer and delete their preferences. Then when you install new versions it should allow you to install the correct firmware.

Bah!

uninstalled everything off my PC including all of the drivers. Before connecting my pod go to the PC I did a factory reset. I then connected it and downgraded the firmware to version 2.0 with the wireless plugged in. Then installed version 2.5 (the current version) again.

When I did this it reminded me that I needed to update my GT10II receiver. Went into Line6 Central but it didn't see the receiver. Followed the advise of taking it out and plugging it back in several times before giving up.

BTW - I emailed Andertons at 8am this morning to say that asking me to use a cable for a wireless effects thingy or contact the manufacturer was poor form on their part. Granted, if it had been a few years old etc then I would've gone straight to Line6 but it's only a couple of months old. I was polite about it and more disappointed than anything else in their initial response.

Had radio silence since then so I'll give them until lunch time tomorrow before I raise a return or something like that. I don't want to return it, I just want them to help me but if they don't respond then I'll have to act to get their attention.
