roy45wm Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago made a large purchase on instrument ive saved up for over last couple years recently. Just got a message from reverb that they need a image of my photo ID for verification and other proof. however im only a first time buyer not a seller. i read following, Quote "Reverb does require ID verification (via their partner) to comply with "Know Your Customer" (KYC) laws, this is done only when setting up a shop to sell high volumes, not for buying" is this normal procedure if only buying? has this happened to anyone else on here where they have had to send photo i,d when only just buying a instrument? if so how did you send them your proof by email or in account its all a bit worrying as dont want them to cancel sale just want the instrument ive saved up for and finally bought . its all a bit confusing . Cliff Edge Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago That quite clearly says it’s not required for buyers. 1 Quote

Did that come through reverb or through an email, make sure that who you are talking to is definitely reverb, not someone else. Quote
