Thrillho_12 Posted yesterday at 10:48 Posted yesterday at 10:48 Title says it all really. I think all the features of the amp make it a good practice amp. You can try out loads of effects and it has a lot of versatility in different use cases. But I just don't really like the way it sounds a lot of the time. I find it super hard to dial in a nice tone that doesn't sound farty or overly buzzy. I've saved patches but never been truly convinced by any of them as a plug and play tone. Am I doing something wrong? Are there any killer patches out there that I'm missing? Or do I just need to admit that it's not quite for me and move on. As ever, advice and expertise is very much appreciated. Quote
Downunderwonder Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago As a practice amp you need to accept the limited output volume. I think it's likely your ugly tones are the results of Overdriving the preamp. Overdriving the speaker. Both. Try dialing everything back a bit. 1 Quote
Thrillho_12 Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago Shall give this a go. Though I don't think I'm putting much strain on it at all. I have noticed that pretty much any gain at all makes it a bit flabby. Quote
ebenezer Posted 33 minutes ago Posted 33 minutes ago I tried one, and I couldn't find a nice tone. Quote
