The Burpster Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Has anyone taken the standard neck ‘bolts’ which are really woodscrews and replaced them with proper bolts and inserts like Montys or Nek tite? I like proper engineering and whilst I know the woodscrews have been used for decades but these products claim to increase sustain and tone. i like the idea I could torque them identically. Thoughts? 1 Quote
PaulThePlug Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Dunno about increase sustain or tone... but i likes the engineering approach. Although the internal threaded part looks quite short... but the height of a nut i spose. I'm sure there are such things available from Spaldings (who i use for Stainless Dog Point Grub Screws for Bridge Saddles) or other Fastner shops. Edited 54 minutes ago by PaulThePlug Quote
