West Midlands - North West: Looking to have a couple lessons about technique

Hi all, I am very new on the forum, hope I don't break any rule.

I have been focusing on playing bass for the past 2 years, after coming from the guitar. 

I feel my technique is now hurting my progress and I am looking for a couple of hours or a bit more of technique focused lessons. Any recommendations?

I am based in Shropshire but don't mind traveling on a saturday.

My experience of seeing someone about technique was they only wanted to teach theory.

I had lessons with Jack Corcoran - he's based near Welshpool I think. He's a youngish music grad specialises in bass, drums, and keys I think. He was involved with Rock School Whitchurch when I lived in the area.
