Afternoon Folks,

I've got mainly rack gear, and as i don't fiddle with my settings on my pedals during a gig and only with my amp, i would like to install them into my 19 inch rack.

Has anyone here done this before, and if so, what's the best way?!

Cheers
Rik

Well you can buy 19 inch rack shelves, so you could velcro the pedals onto a shelf. There are also "sliding drawer" shelves that slide out which would allow you to easily access the pedals whenever you want - gets a bit expensive though.

Actually I'd be inclined to put a large cable tie around each pedal (drill suitably spaced holes in the shelf to allow a large cable tie to pass right around the pedal) and that will stop the pedals becoming dislodged if the rack gets knocked.

Hang on - are we talking about physical installation into a rack? Or remote control?

Rack shelf/rack drawer with velcro would secure the pedals (you probably need rear rack ears for the shelf option though... but it does give the ability to slide your pedals out of the rack...)

If you are feeling particularly flush, give http://www.skrydstrup.com a chance...

Always been fascinated by midi, and still haven't a clue about it, so i'll check the link! However the original intention was to just set up my pedals in the effects loop of my amp, so they wouldn't need 'controlling' as it were. Thanks for all the suggestions though everyone, most helpful!
