ToneX Plug. Things are getting smaller.

Just saw this. it's an odd one. While I think the form factor is good, I cant imagine its any use in a band setting. I suppose it could replace the likes of the VoxPlug etc.

It's a practice tool. It isn't meant to be any use on stage. Same form factor as the Boss Katana Go, Fender Mustang Micro, Blackstar Beam Solo, etc, but with the ToneX captures instead of amp models.

Yeah, I know all that, but I feel they missed an opportunity.

What opportunity though? They've also got the ToneX One and the original three button ToneX. I'd say the only thing they're missing is a bigger floorboard that's also a fully fledged multi effects unit.

I didn't mean it in a contrary way. Tone of voice often doesn't come across well over the internet. I'm interested in what you think they're missing on this.

I guess if it had a companion receiver unit, you could use it as a wireless too? That could be cool. Combine it with a wireless footswitch and you'd have a fully wireless rig.

If i didn't have a Nux Mighty Plug and a Bighead headphone amp, I'd be looking at this. 

 

I still might have a look. Perhaps the phone app makes the interface usable. However given IK Multimedia haven't got the world's best UX team, that might be a forlorn hope. I suppose they could have contracted the work out?
