Warwick rockbass Alien acoustic bass, fretless,ebony fingerboard, d'addario black nylon strings, very good condition, couple of small scratches near control panel, plays and sounds fantastic. comes with padded rockbag gigbag. Collection preferred due size and fragility , happy to meet halfway from essex if required.

Hiya Looks a nice bass. I have a quick question for you Have you changed the strings since you bought it? Am asking because there is a known issue on the rockbass Alien version with string pegs sticking in the bridge, meaning  the strings cannot be replaced without extreme force/drilling.

Took them out 3-4 years ago, not since, I'm away until the weekend,  I'll check them when I get home.

I've just done a quick Google and can find no references specifically to this model being troublesome,  could you please post a link to somewhere with more info on this problem?

I've owned two Alien 6 strings, neither had a problem with removing the bridge pins. I would say in order to qualify as a 'known problem', it would need to be an issue that applies to a fair number of these. I've not heard of this problem either, so would be curious if it is indeed a known concern, or just a single anecdotal story of one person's experience that you've read.
