This is my 1978 T40, it was in a bit of a mess when I got it, not so much now I'm finished.

Title is confusing me as I'm not seeing anything missing.

If it's just the TR cover speak to Brian, earlpillanz, on eBay. When I dropped off the scratchplates from my Peavey collection I included control cavity covers and a TR cover. Templates were made but the TR cover never made the inventory, Brian wasn't sure he had the curve right and didn't want Americans moaning "it doesn't fit".

If you loose your senses, replacement screws can be bought from "Fretsonthenet", Dave carries all of them; does pickup rings too.

Well indeed, apart from the TRC I can't see what you're looking for here.  But I'll throw some fuel on the T-40 parts fire...

When I fitted a T-40 pickup to my DeArmond Jet Star, the pickup ring was a bit warped and sad, so I got one 3D printed using this model - fits great!

If they're not bothered about originality of parts, this could get someone out of jail - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3587735

Sorry guys, got pics in total wrong order, but you get my gist. It was a total strip down and replace a lot of parts. The control knobs and tuners were the hardest to find, but I did find them eventually, at a price. The tuners are actually Schallers, just no name on them, and the control knobs were from a T40, the guy in CA was stripping it. So eventually I completed my project, all Peavey parts, all original, apart from the pickguard.

@Gazz

Pity I never spotted any "T40 parts wanted" post.

6 of the 68 Peavey basses I've owned were T 40s, if I didn't have the parts I'd know somebody who did.

Fat lot of good that does you now 🤣

I'm looking for a good replacement pickguard, the one I found is a very soft plastic, scratches easily, utter crap.

I'm looking for a decent replacement pickguard, if you know of any?

If you have an original, get it copied, either by Brian Pillans (earlpilanz on ebay) or Tinytone.  Other pickguard makers are probably available, but those are the two who spring to mind.

Aye, should have one out in the shed 🙂

The 'Brian Pillans' @neepheid mentioned used the PG from my T-40 to make his master template so if I'm talking mince about the shed he's your man  👍

Made a trip to the hut, have a B/W/B pickguard so give me a shout if you want it.
