Good price. Not going to deny also being a Zoom fanboi!

Remind us, Dave, what made you move it on last time and what's tempting you to get it back (other than the price)?

I'm in the market for a standalone multifx to gig with for some gigs that would be a lot easier for me to get to by public transport gigs (now the Elizabeth Line is connecting places like Reading to London!). But for another £110 Thomann are selling a B-stock Boss GX-10 with parallel processing, much larger touch screen and IMO significantly better PSU.

I just cant settle on anything lol. Ive had the B2-four twice now.

My criteria keeps changing, but always based on size (must fit in the pocket of my Bass gig bag). I too use public transport and can get everything i need in to the gig bag (obviously not amp or cab, but those are normally supplied). I don’t want to be taking a bag as well, otherwise id probably get something bigger, as you suggest.

One min i don’t need any amp sims etc, and just want a good basic tone and a dirty tone (my EBS Microbass 3 does this so well), but then i got the the GP-5 just to see what all the fuss is about (on my second now but this one is staying), and this gives me modulation and amp sims etc, which ive been using, but its not a versatile as the Zooms. While ive been using the GP-5 with the Chocolate Plus controller, and it works perfectly when playing, it’s more a set and play device, which means tweaking is a pain at a gig or rehearsal. Saying that, i find i dont tend to waste time tweaking it when i should be playing. Thats been a god send, but it would be nice if i could make adjustments a bit easier on the fly.

As all my home practice is with headphones i can be over critical. With a band anything ive had works fine, but at home i found the Zoom stuff lacks a bit of sparkle. The only thing thats now putting me off the Zoom’s is that i cant see any way of turning more than one block on and off with just the one footswitch. I could do this with my old Stomp, and can do it with GP-5. For example, turning on a phaser or chorus and EQ at the same time to help balance the tone and volume out is really useful. Same with OD/EQ etc. I did get the MS60B+ with the intention of using it just as a modulation pedal, along with the EBS, But then it became complicated as i had all the other things the MS60B+ could do, and i questioned if i needed to keep the MB3. But then the MS60B+ only has the one footswitch switch (i know it has the other flat ones), so that wasn't ideal.

I will sell the MB3 soon, but god knows what I’ll own this time next week lol. Last year when i got back in to bass, and not wanting to got use FX, i went through 7 pedals in a couple of months.
