This bass is so good I bought it twice. I sold it in a moment of GAS, and then spent several years trying to find it again. Do you mean the USA made ones? I know those and the original Rob DeLeo signature model which active emg’s were as they had ash bodies I believe. this one is very manageable, I’ll have to get the scales on it but I wouldn’t say it is heavy at all.
