Solidgold FX beta overdrive £80 with the box, fancy bag and instructions. A couple of tiny dings on the paintwork but otherwise works and sounds great!image3.thumb.jpeg.e09ae817440b21ba7b7cb53a5a023263.jpegimage2.thumb.jpeg.aa7a07655c822eb25c18bda9eee885b2.jpegimage1.thumb.jpeg.fad701174b2b25ef3ddd31f167977905.jpegimage0.thumb.jpeg.3d290a26e61de16e762459618f579e2b.jpeg

Early-ish I think. I bought from here in mid-2022. I found this demo from 2016 which looks like the same version. As I didn’t buy it new I can’t give you a year for sure.

The Beta is an amazing pedal, it does that Ampeg B-15 saturated thing very well and it gives you a slight low end bump, which I always found perfect for fingerstyle.

If I am not mistaken, this is the 2nd colour scheme of the 1st version of the Beta.

The original run had orange lettering and graphics, and the subsequent run had this dark gray/black finish.

I own this 2nd colour scheme.

Then SolidGold FX issued the DLX version, with a lot of features and a switchable boost.

And then, the 3rd iteration came out, the MKII, where you could defeat the preamp with a top-mounted toggle, which bypassed the gain. Same pedal essentially with the added feature.

They also made high-gain, germanium, LM308... versions of the Beta too.

The current version you can buy off the shelf is the Beta V.

GLWTS! It's a really cool pedal.
