Ampeg Combo Speaker Question

Hi , 

 

I have an Ampeg Combo ( Ampeg B-200R Rocket Bass Combo ) with a 4 ohm 15 inch speaker inside , Can I replace it with a 8 ohm 15 inch speaker , being that it is a Transistor amp ?

 

I know it will reduce the output .

Yes, no problem - assuming the replacement will fit, as not all 15" speakers are the same size. It's worth measuring up first.
