miles'tone Posted July 19 Author Posted July 19 The ebay pics have a DH Gate watermark, so either "Crazy Guitar World" is affiliated with them, or someone stole the pics that DH Gate stole. Don't be crazy, don't shop there! Quote
prowla Posted July 19 Posted July 19 So, the Chinese seller on eBay is using pics of a real Ric. Of course, you wouldn't get one of those in return for your money. I'd report it to eBay, but their "AI" would probably say nothing wrong. 1 Quote

I looked into it and there are other sellers over there with the same ads and pictures, there's even a very real stolen Stingray 5 pic (logo and all) and more. It's a deep scam that looks tightly sewn up. I guess it's just buyer beware at the end of the day. Quote
Grooverjr Posted July 21 Posted July 21 It's the old "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is". That's why it's always best to buy from forums or from actual shops. But their 'market' is people who don't know what they are looking at, I suppose. 1 Quote

At the time I'd been looking at the new 4005v basses and that ebay pic/ad popped up. I could see it was a real Ric being passed off as a bass you'd get from the "maker", and it took all of 2 mins to find where they had lifted the photo from. I cheekily asked the "maker" for pics of other colours they do and got this reply: "Hello, friend The actual guitar you receive is same to the photo we listed.if you are interested, you can make an order.Thank you" Nope.
