Hello from darkest Wiltshire

Hello everyone,

I started learning last year, and have a lesson every week with generally a lot of practice in between. I do have a number of other interests so I confess that I don't always do as much as is needed, but I'm making progress and enjoy every minute. Although I have always loved Rock (I'm a closet Prog-Rocker!), at 73 I'm arguably a bit old to be the next rock god (laugh dammit, that was a joke!), so I'm biting the bullet and learning to read and play Jazz.

My first, and current, bass is a P-J style Epiphone Power bass. A much maligned 4-string instrument, it does have one big negative - of which more in a question I will ask in the appropriate place. Otherwise, I love it.
