Hi all

Final bass on the chopping block today and the one I’m saddest about selling. This is genuinely one of the best basses I feel I have ever owned. It looks even better in person and the sound is the exact 70s Marcus Miller jazz sound in my head. Sounds amazing slapped and with fingers. There are some great demos here:

So, why am I selling? Unfortunately I’m just not getting along with the wide neck, which I’m really gutted about! I have smaller hands and have always preferred 18mm spacing and 1.75” nut but thought I’d give this a go anyway… It’s similar to a Lakland or Sadowsky in feel, although slightly more playable with the 34.5” scale. I know loads of people enjoy that neck, it’s just not for me.

I only bought it a few months ago, I think it’s done two gigs and very much taken care of, so would tentatively call this ‘very near mint’ condition. It’s one of the best made basses I’ve ever owned, Andrew is meticulous in his finishing of them.

They cost £1619 direct from Andrew. There are no more currently in production and this was the final one Andrew had in stock so they will become hard to find and sought after.

The only difference between the standard and the Jahmal Nichols versions are the gold hardware, Bartolini B Axis Pickups (imo the best hum cancelling jazz pickups you can buy) and a Bart Preamp with 3 way mid switch.

Heres the spec:

Great basses these. I would only slightly disagree with the Lakland comparison with regards to the nut width. Bridge string spacing definitely 😊

Yes you're correct actually - Lakland 46mm and this is 48mm. In terms of the feel up the neck though - flat and wide I feel it's in the same ballpark
