MXR Bass Envelope Filter *£75* - *SOLD*

Super funky envelope filter that has its own unique sound.

But, I have too many filters and I’ve just splurged on another MXR pedal so need to recoup.

This is one of the original purple sparkle finishes from the earliest run. The purple sparkle makes it 15% funkier than the current version.

It is in excellent cosmetic condition on top but the base plate has some scratches likely from where someone used an implement to remove some old Velcro. I’d describe the base plate as fair to good condition.

£75 including postage. It also come with the original box and instruction manual.

This is a great bass EF… just because of the price and its good condition, I’m tempted, but I already have 1 on my board. GLWTS 👍

They sound great when running two together at slightly different settings. I did this briefly when I bought this earlier, more purple model to supplant the darker one I had. If I could sell one of my listings I’d be pretty tempted to get this to do that again.

My favourite filter for fingerstyle funk.

A great example of players using it is anything by Dumpstaphunk. Both, yes BOTH! Bass players use a BEF.

This is how I currently run my set-up. At the moment, I’m running the Barbanera in parallel with an EHX Micro Qtron in band pass. It’s the wettest filter sound I’ve ever experienced!

I also briefly ran the Barbanera in parallel with the MF-101. It sounded amazing but I just couldn’t justify having both. Getting the Moog was just to see how close the Barbanera was in sound.
