banksy76 Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Hi all I'm hoping to get some expert opinions here. If so I would be most grateful. The bass guitar in question is a Hofner Club bass from their entry level Ignition range. Although these are entry level Hofner's, do fakes/copies of these exist? The logo/script on the headstock of this one seems suspicious in that the font looks thicker than others that I've seen, the dots above the "O" seem odd (less defined and almost non existent) and would the logo wear away so easily? I have attached a photo of this along with a few others detailing other aspects of the bass. Any input would be much appreciated. Quote
James Nada Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Here's mine, Ignition model from about 2016. Bought new from a reputable retailer. Looks the same? Quote
banksy76 Posted June 11 Author Posted June 11 Thanks for taking the time to post that James, that's put my mind at rest. Indeed that does look the same as the one that I posted. I was a little concerned as all of the others that I was seeing had more defined dots above the 'O' as can be seen in these screenshots: 1 Quote
Stub Mandrel Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Hang on... those dots mean Höfner shpuld be pronounced Hefner. Mind blown. Quote
